PLASTIC WELDING TIP WITH FILLER ROD FEEDING TUBE
• Use in a similar method to the standard plastic welding tip; the supplied filler rods are fed through the tube
so that they melt directly onto the job. Used for deeper cracks that have been V-ed out to take the filler.
• Used to add filler rod material to reinforce the repair and bring the repair to surface level.
• Run the tip along the crack as you also feed the filler rod down through the tip.
Move slowly and carefully making sure the material is of a sufficient
temperature to weld successfully to the substrate.
HOW TO REPLACE THE TIP
1. Ensure tool switch is in the OFF position. Allow tip to cool completely before replacing tip.
2. Use only genuine Matco replacement tips.
3. Unscrew old tip by rotating translucent locking nut counter-clockwise about 1/4 turn.
4. Screw in new tip by rotating translucent locking nut clockwise until it snaps on lock position.
Note: Align the notch on the housing to install the new tip.
5. Do not file the tip, it is plated and will ruin the protective plating.
