INTENDED USE
This Engine Lowering Bolt Set is used for lowering the engine / subframe for approx. 20 cm.
The lowering bolts replace the original subframe bolts and they are needed in many repair jobs such
as renewing the turbocharger, starter, etc.
These set of lowering bolts are suitable for Smart Coupe & Convertible, Diesel & Petrol, Pure, Pulse,
Passion and Brabus.
SAFETY ADVICE
•
Always follow the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer.
•
Observe that the powertrain must be supported, before installing the engine lowering bolts or
installing the original subframe bolts.
•
Never replace more than one screw at the same time, otherwise the subframe and body may
be damaged or the entire engine may fall down and cause property and personal injury.
•
When inserting the lowering bolts, make sure that they are inserted sufficiently deep enough in
the receiving thread of the body.

USE
1. Support the powertrain e.g. with transmission jack.
2. Now replace the original subframe bolts with the lowering bolts one after the other, the position of
the subframe bolts are marked red in the figure above.

When replacing the bolts, make sure that the weight of the powertrain rests on the support, at
the entire assembly period.
•
Make sure the lowering bolts are sufficiently deep enough installed.
3. Now lower the subframe and powertrain slowly until it rests in lowering bolts.
