This stainless steel mesh (AISI 316/UNS S 31600/DIN Mat. No
1.4401/1.4436) is intended to optimize the attachment of self-
regulating, power-limiting, constant wattage parallel and series
heating cables to odd shaped surfaces like valves, pumps, ... .
It improves the intimate contact between the traced surface
and the heating cable and as such enhances the heat transfer.
If applied appropriately, the mesh construction minimizes the
risk of damaging the heating cables.
