III. General information
About USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 Gen 1
USB 3.0 is also known as USB 3.1 Gen 1. This connectivity
standard delivers speeds up to 5Gbps.
About USB-C
Not all USB-C ports support the full functionality of the USB
Type-C standard. Some ports might only provide data
transfers and might not support video or USB Power Delivery
2.0. Make sure that your host laptop supports DP Alt Mode
and USB Power Delivery 2.0.
Thunderbolt™ 3 technology also uses the USB-C connector,
so you can connect the adapter to a Thunderbolt™ port. The
adapter will connect to the Thunderbolt™ port at the USB
speed of 5Gbps.
USB Power Delivery 2.0 is a specification that enables to send
power (up to 100 watts) over a USB-C or Thunderbolt™ 3
cable that supports the specification. This adapter supports
USB Power Delivery 2.0, delivering up to 60 watts of power
through the USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port on your laptop.
HDMI video output
Connects a video or audio device such as a high-definition
television, any compatible digital or audio component.
Depending on your operating system the HDMI video output
port supports resolutions up to 4K*2K @ 30Hz (HDMI 1.4).
Memory card slot
The SD™ card reader enables simultaneous access to a SD™
card for fast read/write transfers.
Note: SD™ card and TF memory card cannot be connected
at the same time, if you do so, neither will be recognized. You
must access each memory card individually for it to work.
IV. Using the USB-C hub
1. Insert the USB-C cable into your device's Type C port.
