4. Description
The press was developed in line with existing standards and guidelines and is used to bale masking
papers, lightweight cardboard and masking film. The press is fitted with a self-lubricating pneumatic
compacting ram which does not require subsequent lubrication. The press must be connected to a
compressed air supply with a pressure of at least 10 bar. However, this is reduced to a maximum
pressure of 8 bar by means of the pressure regulator fitted to the machine.
The press is supplied with two canisters of baling twine that must be mounted on the top of the press
(one on the left and one on the right).
The material to be baled is loaded via the upper hatch fitted with a hinged lid that opens upwards. The
lower door, which opens to the side, is used to remove the bale of material.
CAUTION!
When the press is in operation, both openings are kept closed by means of a safety system. Never
attempt to circumvent this safety system through external force or by making modifications.
Similarly, the upper loading hatch is automatically locked by the safety system if the compressed air is
disconnected. This is to prevent the operator from reaching into the hatch (in the absence of
compressed air, the vertical ram descends automatically). Failure to follow these instructions can lead
to severe injury or even death.
CAUTION!
Read Sections 6 and 7 carefully. These sections refer to the safe handling of this press.
