Thank you for purchasing the 7 Liter Personal Fridge/Warmer by Wagan Tech! This product
has been carefully engineered and manufactured to give you dependable operation. With
normal care and proper treatment, it will provide years of reliable service.
It is important to read this manual thoroughly before operating your new product. In order to
maximize the usability and life of your fridge/warmer, you should be familiar with its features
and maintenance needs.

How Unit Works
This appliance is a Thermoelectric Cooler/Warmer which performs the cooling or heating
function by means of the heat exchange theory. If the surrounding temperature to the unit is too
high, it will not be able to perform properly.
NEVER operate unit in an enclosed space. ALWAYS ensure that there is adequate
ventilation and free air flow around the unit.
When operating the unit in a vehicle compartment or a boat cabin, adequate
ventilation must be provided by means of an air conditioning system or an
open window.
Do NOT leave unit running in a closed car or in a trunk. Air can reach high
temperatures and severely damage unit.
Unit is equipped with a built-in fan to dissipate heat. Do NOT impede fan or
block air flow around it. DO NOT place any objects close to back of unit while
it is running.
If placing unit on vehicle seat, sit unit sideways so that seat back will not impede
air flow.

Safety Rules

Exercise normal cautions that you would for any food in a warming/cooling device.
Keep away from children.
Do not touch the metal surface inside the storage compartment, it can reach very high
temperatures.
Do NOT leave the unit out in the rain or allow the unit to be immersed in water.
Do not eat or drink perishable items that may have become spoiled without proper
temperature control.
Do not use this unit if your vehicle's electrical system is weak or damaged.
It is recommended that this appliance be used with the vehicle running to avoid
battery drain.
NEVER leave the unit running in an enclosed or poorly ventilated space.

User's Manual—Read before using this equipment
DO NOT start vehicle with appliance plugged in to socket. The resulting voltage surge
could damage the unit. Unplug unit before starting vehicle, then re-plug appliance in
after vehicle is running.
Do NOT leave unit plugged into lighter for extended period of time if motor is off.
Do NOT switch unit between Cooler and warmer modes. Turn unit off and wait at
least 30 minutes before switching to new mode.
Do not operate from any other power source other than that for which it was
designed.
Operate unit only with cord provided. Store cord inside unit to prevent misplacing.
The warmer is intended to maintain the temperature of pre-heated food and beverages
only. It is not designed to heat up cold items or for storing open containers of liquids.
Unit is intended for portable use only. It is not designed for built-in or recessed use.
Unplug unit when not in use and before cleaning. Allow unit to cool before cleaning
and storing.
Operation
1. Check to make sure the Cooler/Warmer selector switch is in the middle "OFF"
position.
2. Plug one end of the 12 volt power cord into the port on the back of the unit.
3. Plug the other end into the cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle or other 12 volt D.C.
power supply (10 amps minimum)
4. Move the switch into the position of the desired function: COOLER or WARMER. The
LED indicator light, green for cooler and red for warmer, will illuminate to show that
the unit is working.
5. Place items inside the storage compartment and close the lid. Do not overfill the unit
so that the lid does not close firmly on the magnetic catch. Keep lid closed during
operation and re-close it quickly when adding and removing items.
6. Move selector switch to the OFF position and unplug after use. Empty contents, clean,
and store the unit in a cool, dry place.
7. If the appliance does not operate, make sure outlet is powered and rotate plug in the
socket. If unit still doesn't operate, unplug it from the power supply and make sure the
outlet socket is clean. Check fuse in plug by unscrewing tip. Replace if necessary.

Operating Tips

Use as a Cooler:
• DO NOT put ice or ice packs inside the unit.
It will take about 30 minutes to reach the maximum cooling temperature of
approximately 15°C below that of the surrounding air (minimum 37.5°F or 3°C).
