Prior to using the safety Voltage Tester be sure to read the following instruction for operation.
INTENDED USE
This voltage tester is used to test electrical systems with a nominal voltage range of 6 to 24 V DC and AC
voltage, usable in e.g. automotive, model electrics, etc. The voltage tester is not suitable for
measurements above 24 volts and not for measurements in home electrical installation area!
SAFTY ADVICE
• The voltages indicated on the voltage tester are nominal values.
• Be sure to only use the voltage indicator in systems, appliances and devices within the area of the
nominal voltage of 6 to 24 V AC / DC.
• For testing only grasp the handles of the voltage tester and be sure not to touch the testing
electrodes. The voltage can be detected only via double-pole.
• Before checking whether the apparatus is free from any voltage, make sure that the voltage tester is
properly functioning (DIN VDE 0105, Part 1). If one or more of the displays are not indicated or
cannot be indicated, do no longer use the voltage tester.
• Always keep the voltage tester in a clean and dry place.
• Do allow a disassembly the voltage tester by unauthorized persons.
• For a proper display keep the device within a temperature range of -10°C to +50°C.
• The voltage tester cannot be left switched on for more than 30 seconds. The pause following it
should not be longer than 240 seconds.
• The light-emitting diode (LED) indicated with the symbol + and - indicate the applied polarity on the
indicating handle, if the direct current is higher than 6 V. If both LED diodes are lighting up at the
same time, the device uses alternating current. In case of higher voltages, all voltage-indicating LED
diodes are lighting up at the same time.
• The light-emitting diodes are indicating the effective voltages between the voltage peaks. Within the
respective nominal voltage range, the light-emitting diodes starting lighting up, of the nominal voltage
is higher than 85%.
• Do not use the voltage tester during rainy weather or snowing.
• The display of the excessing of the upper limited value for low voltages (ELV) only serves as for a
warning for the user, and is not as a measured value.
DISPOSAL
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling
information or give the product for disposal to BGS technic KG or to an electrical appliances
