REPLACE
BATTERY
MAINTENANCE
AND CLEANING
When "Lo" appears on the display, the battery must be
replaced. The scale requires 3 AAA batteries. The battery
compartment is located on the underside of the scale.
To replace the batteries, you have to open the battery
cover and remove the used batteries. Before you place the
new batteries in the compartment, please make sure the
batteries are installed with the correct polarity (+)/(–).
Non-rechargeable batteries should not be recharged.
Rechargeable batteries should be removed from the
appliance before being charged.
If the appliance is to be stored unused for a long period, the
batteries should be removed.
The supply terminals should not be short-circuited.
Note: To prevent harm to the environment, used batteries
should be disposed of through your electrical dealer or local
resource recycling collection point.
Do not immerse the scale in water.
Only the removable platform is dishwasher safe.
Do not put items exceeding 5000g onto the scale as this
could damage it.
Do not allow the scale to come into contact with strong-
ly flavoured/coloured food or acids, such as citrus fruit zest,
which can cause damage to the plastic surfaces. When such
items are used, it is recommended that the weighing surface
first be lined with grease-proof paper or cling film and then
washed/wiped clean immediately afterwards.
The outer casing of the scale may be wiped clean with a
damp cloth and the platform can be put in the dishwasher.
Do not expose the scale to fire, direct sunlight or acidic
substances.
Store the scale only when it is dry.
