ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Turn off circuit
breakers and wall
switch to the fan supply
line leads.
DANGER:
Failure to disconnect
power supply prior to
installation may result in
serious injury or death.
2. Remove the light
kit from existing ceiling
fan. Disconnect light
kit wiring and set
light kit aside. NOTE:
Remove bulb(s) and
glass shade(s) before
removing light kit in
order to avoid breaking
the glass.
3. Unscrew pull chain
ring from light kit and
gently pull existing light
switch and wiring.
Check wires from
fan, noting which wire
color from the fan is
connected to which
terminal on the existing
light switch. Then, remove pull chain ring from
the new light switch. Cut the wires from existing
light switch as close to the switch as possible.
Remove and discard the old light switch and
strip 1/2 in. from wire ends.

4. Using wire strippers
(not included), cut the
two wires from the
existing light switch as
close to the existing
light switch as possible.
Remove and discard
the old light switch and
then strip wire 1/2 in.
from the end of each wire.
5. Connect one
BLACK wire from fan
to one BLACK wire
from new light switch.
Connect the other
BLACK wire from fan to
the other BLACK wire
from new light switch.
Use wire connectors
that were previously removed to make the
connections, twisting wire connectors in a
clockwise direction. Pull gently on each wire to
be sure connections are secure.
Remove pull chain ring from new light switch.
Feed threaded part of light switch through hole
in light kit. Secure light switch with pull chain
ring provided.
6. Reconnect light kit
wiring. Reinstall light
kit to fan and replace
bulb(s) and glass
shade(s). Restore
power to fan and test
new light switch.
