CREATE AND DRAW A DESIGN ON PAPER
NOTE: Always practice a design on paper before routing, painting,
or permanently marking.
1. Select a template and a pattern.
2. Determine the rotation interval to be used from the Design
Guide. For example, if the Design Guide says to rotate "2", move
the cogs from "A" to "C" to "A" and so on until you return to your
starting point.
3. Draw a large set of crosshairs on a piece of paper to mark the
desired position of the design.
4. Place the paper on a stable work surface and secure the paper
to the work surface with tape.
5. Center the base plate over the cross hairs and secure the base
plate to the work surface with clamps or fasteners (not included).
6. Align the template so the selected pattern is in the 12 o'clock
position and secure the template in place by pushing the tem-
plate cogs into the appropriate base plate grooves.
