Creating an additional radio group
Only the two radio modules currently being programmed should be put in to operation, and not all
at the same time.
Follow the steps as described in the section "Creating a radio group". Only program the radio
modules which are to be included in the additional radio group. Do not include any radio modules

from an existing radio group. Up to eight independent radio groups can be created.

Press and hold the button (fig. 1.2) on the radio module to be deleted for approx. 5 seconds until
the red LED (fig. 1.1) starts to flash approx. 2x a second. The light will initially start flashing 1x a
second after 2–3 seconds — continue holding the button down until the LED flashes twice as fast.
Release the button. The radio module will then return to the normal mode, but will no longer be
assigned to a radio group.
Pairing with the PRoTECToR Control Panel
The radio module must first be programmed, so that it is automatically assigned to a radio group
(see the "PROGRAMMING/START-UP", and "Creating a radio group" sections). To pair with the
control panel, only the radio module to be paired must be in operation. Activate a radio detector's
pairing function in the menu screen 2.1 of the PROTECTOR Control Panel. When you are prompted
to press the TEST button on the radio detector briefly, briefly press the button (fig. 1.2) on the radio
module.
The radio module emits test telegrams, which pair it with the control panel. Deactivate the newly
paired radio module and repeat the process with all radio modules you wish to pair.
If another radio module is active when the button (fig. 1.2) is pressed, it will forward the test
telegram. If the test telegram is forwarded, the radio module will acknowledge this with three short
tones with an interval of approximately 5 seconds.
NoTE: The button (fig 1.2) is locked for 5 minutes after being pressed. This also applies for radio modules
that have received the test telegram.
