NITRILE-BACKED
CARPET MATS
INITIAL USE
1. After removing from box, mat should lay flat in a
warm, dry environment for 24 hours to allow it to
relax and uncurl before placing into service.
NOTE: If mat does not lay flat after 24 hours, roll
the mat with the rubber backing side out. Store
in a warm, dry environment for 24 hours before
placing into service.
2. Shedding or fuzzing is not a carpet defect, but rather
common to new fabrics. This will disappear after a
few vacuumings.
VACUUMING
To extend a mat's usefulness and appearance, regular
vacuuming is required. A commercial upright vacuum
with beater brush is recommended.
SHAMPOOING/EXTRACTION CLEANING
Shampooing or extraction cleaning is required when
vacuuming fails to restore color of carpet due to
excessive embedded soil.
Use any neutral synthetic detergent with tepid water
(Dilute according to label instructions).
CAUTION! Avoid temperatures exceeding 120ºF.
WARNING! Do not use solvents, pH detergents
or alkalis directly on the mat.
• Hand brush or extraction clean.
• Rinse with cold water.
• Place on an incline position to drain and
dry completely.
WARNING! Do not use rotary scrubbers or other
mechanical cleaners or scrubbers to clean.

PROPER STORING
• Roll mat in compact roll with carpet facing out.

COMMERCIAL LAUNDERING
Carpet mats that are backed with nitrile rubber can be
commercially laundered. Proper laundering will prolong
the life of the mat by preventing the buildup of soil and
soap residue.
