Multifunctional metal, wire and wood detector, LCD display – User manual
Read all instructions. Safe this user manual for future reference. Include this user manual should you give
the device to other persons.
Information on batteries
1. Never attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Always insert batteries with correct polarity. Remove empty batteries from the device. Do not
short-circuit the terminals. Do not throw batteries in fire. Batteries can be fatal if swallowed. Prevent leaked battery acid from coming into contact with
your skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Recycle used batteries. Remove the batteries from the device for extended periods of disuse.
Safety instructions
1. Follow all safety instructions to prevent damages due to improper use! Also heed all warnings on the device itself.
2. No liability will be assumed for any damages that occur due to improper use or incorrect handling.
3. Never submerge any electrical device components in water or other liquids during cleaning or use. Never hold the device under running water.
4. Never operate the device with moist hands or while standing on a wet surface.
5. Keep the device away from all hot surfaces and open flames. Shield the device from extreme heat, dust, direct sunlight, moisture, dripping and splashing water.
6. Thoroughly check the device for damages before use.
7. This device is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or
knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or received instruction on how to use the device.
8. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the device.

Intended use
The device allows you to detect metal (i.e. metal water pipes), wood (i.e. wooden beams) and voltage-carrying wiring, for example behind walls. The device
features an LCD bar graph display and an acoustic signal.

Inserting batteries
1. Open the battery compartment (5) by unlocking the battery compartment lid. Pull out the battery clip slightly and connect one 9 V block battery (6LR61)
to the battery clip (Ill. 2). Heed correct polarity.
2. Insert the 9 V battery into the battery compartment (5). Make sure not to damage the wiring. Reclose the battery compartment (5).
3. Replace the battery when the display shows X.

Notes on detecting AC voltage: The arrows or show which direction the device should be moved to follow the course of electrical wiring.
Caution! Walls contain various materials that may result in inaccuracy or detection errors. For this reason, expect surprises when drilling holes in walls
even if the detector displayed otherwise. Therefore, use the detector's display as additional information only.

Operation
1. Set the switch to the desired operating position (Stud, Metal, Volt).
2. Hold the device flat against the wall or surface in question.
3. Push and hold the on key (3) until the device issues 2 signal tones and the display (1) shows:
4. Move the device slowly and horizontally across the wall and evenly from left to right (Ill. 3).
The device detects wood/metal/AC voltage (depending on the setting): The device beeps. LCD
display (1):
blinks (Ill. 4 to 5).
The device moves closer to detected objects: More frequent beeping. Signal amplitude
more bars.
The device moves away from detected objects: Less frequent beeping. Signal amplitude
fewer bars.
