7. Safety information
The manufacturer can accept no liability for any use contrary to the operating instructions
or for unauthorised modifications.
The operating instructions and the warning notes contained in them must be read carefully
and kept at a prominent position near to the unit. Failure to observe the warning notes can
lead to accidents and injuries or may cause harm to health.
The KDS808/834A/824A dispensing systems meet the EC Declaration of Conformity according
to the basic safety requirements of Directives 2004/108/EC and 2006/95/EC.

9. General warning notes
1. Keep your workstation tidy.
Untidiness in the workplace can result in accidents.
2. Pay attention to environmental conditions.
Do not place the device in the rain. Do not use the device in damp or wet conditions. Ensure
that the device is well lit. Do not use the device in the vicinity of flammable liquids or gases.
3. Protect yourself against electric shocks.
Avoid physical contact with earthed parts, e.g. pipes and heating elements.
4. Keep children away from the device.
Do not let unauthorised persons touch the device. Prevent other persons from entering your
work area.
5. Store the device carefully.
Unused devices should be stored in a dry and enclosed place out of the reach of children.
6. Do not overload the device.
Operation is better and safer within the specified power and pressure range.
7. Use the right device for the job.
Do not use a machine whose power rating is too low for heavy work. Do not use the device
for purposes for which it was not intended.
8. Wear suitable working clothes.
Avoid loose clothing and jewellery. Wear appropriate protective clothing.
9. Protect your eyes.
Wear safety glasses. When working with adhesive pay particular attention to the
manufacturer's safety information.
10. Use suitable extraction equipment for gases or vapours at the workplace.
If facilities are provided for connecting an extraction system you should be satisfied that they
are in perfect condition and are being used properly.
11. Avoid awkward posture.
Set up your workstation ergonomically, avoid bad posture when working; always use the
right device for the job.
12. Look after the unit with care.
Keep the unit and accessories clean as this will make your work safer and easier. Follow the
operating and maintenance instructions. Regularly check the unit's connections and have
any damage repaired by an authorised specialist. Regularly check the cables and hoses and
replace them as necessary.
13. Isolate the unit from the compressed air supply when not in use or before
servicing.
14. Remove all maintenance tools and spanners.
Before switching on, check that spanners and adjusting tools have been removed and the
device has been reassembled properly.
