Uses
For finding leaks in circuits containing liquids (refrig-
erant, engine/gear oil, coolant etc.)
Features
A special additive is mixed with the circulating liq-
uid. After the additive has flowed through the system
for some time and thoroughly mixed with the liquid,
the system is investigated with the UV Leak Detection
Lamp. The fluorescent dye in the additive (ligkts up
yellow or green) makes leaks visible when they are
illuminated by UV-light.
Application
1. Connect the UV Leak Detection Lamp to a 12 V
(DC) power supply.
2. Wear UV protective glasses. (leaking areas are
easily lacaled as the illumination from the addi-
tive is enhanced by the glasses).
3. To operate the lamp, press and hold the button
found on the handle, when the button is released
the lamp will go out.

For your safety
WARNING - Prior to the first
start-up, it is definitely necessary to
read the Safety instructions!
In case you do not adhere to this instruction man-
ual and the safety instructions, this may result in
damage on the device and cause dangerous situa-
tions for the operator and other people. In case of
transport damage inform vendor immediately.
The uninterrupted use of a UV Leak Detection Lamp
generates high temperatures.
We recommend using the lamp for short intervals of
2-3 minutet at a time. The UV Leak Delertion Lamp
is designed to generate UV-light instantly, so it does
not need to be switched on constantly.
The recommended working cycle (3 minutes
■
on/2 minutes off) should not be exceeded.
Do not look directly into the UV-light.
■
Never use the lamp without wearing UV-protec-
■
tive glasses.
Do not place the lamp on or close to flammable
■
or combustible liquids/gases.
Never touch the UV lens-filter/protective glass
■
when in use. Allow it Io cool down first.
