IRIS - Passive infrared detector
INSTALLATION
Fix the bottom of the articulation to the wall after having pierced and applied the dowel. Make sure of having fixed it
in a good way and that the wall surface is plane and not subject to vibrations.
Open the detector and fix the bottom into the articulation. Screw up the dowel after having oriented the detector. Do
not point it towards objects that could produce sudden changes of temperature, as central heating, radiators, air-
conditioners, flames, etc.
Avoid also its installation near these ones.
Make the connections according the following scheme.
WARNING!: Do not touch with finger the pyroelectric sensor!

UNITS
Close the detector and insert the safety screw as in the picture:
EMPLOYMENT
Applying voltage to the detector IRIS, the LED starts flashing for a
minute to allow the stabilization of the infrared sensor. When a
movement is detected, the sensor opens the output relay and
switches on the LED. The output circuit is opened during the whole
detection time and it is closed 3 seconds after the restoration of the
non-working condition.
Through the dip- switch, it is possible to program the following
operating parameters:
Dip-switch 1
ON
OFF
Dip-switch 2
ON
OFF
Dip-switch 3

OFF
Connecting the terminal M to the "disconnected positive" of the central (terminal + 12V Int.), the alarm memory is
able: when the plant is connected, after an alarm condition, IRIS stores an alarm, signalling every following detection, with
rapid flashes of the LED. This function is able even after the switching-off of the central. That's why, if the central cut out, it
is possible to identify the detector which has caused the alarm, among these ones installed in the same area, just looking
at the LED:
LED switched- on:
LED rapidly flashing:
When the central is re-plugged, the LED will flash for 5 seconds, after these ones, the alarm memory will be reset;
the storing will be able 20 seconds after the insertion of the central.

for Tamper
Sensibility regulation
For small places, with a limited range of action (about 6m).
For the maximum sensor coverage (about 15m).
Pulse counter function
Pulse counter function able: during the movement detection, IRIS starts giving off flashes
every half second; after 6 flashes it signals the alarm opening the output relay. ATTENTION:
after a minute without a detection, the counter of the pulses is reset.
Pulse counter function disable
LED qualification
LED able to signal
LED disable and switched off.
