LIMITED 5 YEAR WARRANTY AND EXCLUSIONS
Leviton warrants to the original consumer purchaser and not for the benefit of
anyone else that this product at the time of its sale by Leviton is free of defects
in materials and workmanship under normal and proper use for five years from
the purchase date. Leviton's only obligation is to correct such defects by repair
or replacement, at its option, if within such five year period the product is returned
prepaid, with proof of purchase date, and a description of the problem to Leviton
Manufacturing Co., Inc., Att: Quality Assurance Department, 59-25 Little
Neck Parkway, Little Neck, New York 11362-2591 (In Canada send to Leviton
Mfg. of Canada Ltd., 165 Hymus Blvd., Point Claire, (Quebec), Canada
H9R 1E9). This warranty excludes and there is disclaimed liability for labor for
removal of this product or reinstallation. This warranty is void if this product is
installed improperly or in an improper environment, overloaded, misused,
opened, abused, or altered in any manner, or is not used under normal operating
conditions or not in accordance with any labels or instructions. There are no
other or implied warranties of any kind, including merchantability and fitness
for a particular purpose, but if any implied warranty is required by the applicable
jurisdiction, the duration of any such implied warranty, including merchantability
and fitness for a particular purpose, is limited to five years. Leviton is not liable

THAT THE POWER IS OFF BEFORE WIRING!
CAUTION:
COPPER CLAD WIRE. WITH ALUMINUM WIRE USE ONLY
DEVICES MARKED CO/ALR OR CU/AL.
1. TURN OFF POWER.

2. Remove insulation on each conductor to expose 3/4"
(1.9 cm) bare copper wire.
3. Connect wires follows: BLACK (Hot) wire to BRASS
screw. WHITE (Neutral) wire to SILVER screw. GREEN
or BARE (Ground) wire to GREEN screw.
4. Loop wires clockwise 3/4 turn around terminal screws.
Firmly tighten screws over wire loops. Cut off any loose
3 (Capacité) strands not secure under screw head. Terminal screws
accept up to #10 AWG copper or copper clad wire.
5. Mount receptacle into electrical box. Tighten the SILVER-
colored mounting screws.

1. INTERRUMPA LA CORRIENTE.
2. Pele 1.9 cm (3/4") de la punta de los cables.
3. Conecte los cables como sigue: El cable NEGRO
(Fase) al tornillo color LATON. El cable BLANCO
(Neutro) al tornillo color PLATEADO. El cable VERDE o
desnudo al tornillo VERDE.
4. Enrosque los alambres 3/4 de vuelta hacia la derecha
alrededor de los tornillos terminales. Corte cuaquier hilo
suelto que no esté asegurado bajo la cabeza del tornillo.
Los tornillos terminales aceptan cable de cobre o
revestido de cobre hasta #10 AWG.
5. Monte el receptáculo en la caja de empalme. Apriete los
tornillos de montaje PLATEADOS. Ponga el casquillo
sobre el receptáculo. Monte la placa de LATON. Fíjela
con los tornillos pequeños de LATON (ill. 1).
6. Restablezca la corriente con el fusible o interruptor de
circuitos. La instalación está completa.
NOTAS:
• Para tener acceso al receptáculo, desatornille la tapa
hacia la izquierda.
• Deje la tapa puesta cuando el receptaculo no esta
en uso.

Place shell over the receptacle. Mount the BRASS plate
onto the strap. Tighten the short BRASS screws (ill. 1).
6. Restore power at circuit breaker or fuse. Installation
is complete.
NOTES:
• To gain access to the receptacle, unscrew screw cap
counter-clockwise.
• Leave screw cap on when the receptacle is not in use.
