VI. TROUBLESHOOTING
Use the table below to solve minor UPS installation or operation problems.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
UPS will not turn on.
UPS not properly plugged in.
UPS circuit breaker "tripped".
UPS operates on battery although normal utility voltage exists.
The outlet where the UPS is plugged in, does not supply utility voltage.
UPS does not provide expected backup time.
The UPS has excessive load.
The UPS' battery is discharged.
The UPS' battery needs to be replaced.
An indicator is lit.
The overload indicator is lit if the equipment connected to battery
backup outlets needs more power than the UPS can provide.
The replace battery indicator is lit if the battery is near to the end
of its useful life.
The replace suppressor indicator is lit if a spike has burnt out
continues the surge suppressor.
UPS does not supply power to the computer/monitor during an outage.
Computer / monitor is plugged into a surge protector outlet.

XI. WARRANTY
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which may
vary from state to state.
This product is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of
five (5) years from the date of purchase with the exception of the battery which is
warranted for two (2) years. After this two year period Koblenz will replace the battery
free of charge for up to three (3) additional years for USD $29.99 to cover shipping and
handling costs.
This warranty shall not apply to any products or parts thereof which have been
damaged by tampering, misuse or abuse or which have been altered or repaired by an
unauthorized person or service center.
For repair, the inoperative product must be delivered with shipping and delivery charges
prepaid, together with satisfactory evidence of the purchase date to our authorized
representative for handling claims indicated below. Koblenz will either repair or replace,
at its election, all defective product and / or the battery during the warranty period and

POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Firmly plug UPS into an appropriate electrical outlet.
Reset the circuit breaker (on back of the UPS) by pushing the button in.
Connect the UPS to another wall outlet, or have a qualified electrician check the wiring.
Unplug non essential connected equipment from battery backup outlets such as fax
machines, scanners, etc. They can be plugged into surge protection outlets.
Charge the battery, connecting and turning the UPS on. Typically eight hours are
needed to totally recharge the battery from total discharge.
If the "REPLACE BATTERY" indicator is lit, battery should be replaced. If the UPS is
operated with a weakened battery, runtime will be significantly reduced.
Move one or more pieces of equipment to the surge protection outlets.
The battery should be replaced.
Take the UPS to a service center or connect a surge suppressor to it.
The UPS working normally.
Move computer / monitor to a battery backup outlet.

expressed, or otherwise except as required by law. Among the excluded warranties are
the implied warranty of merchantability and implied warranty of fitness for a particular
purpose. Implied warranties, if any, are limited in duration to the term of this warranty.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the
above limitation may not apply to you.
Koblenz will in no event be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or
consequential damages or losses whatsoever and Koblenz's liability under no
circumstances will exceed the contract price for the goods or parts for which liability is
claimed. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This limited warranty applies only to the original purchaser. Proof of purchase will be
required.
