SETTING THE INPUT RESPONSE
The input response can be adjusted to any car radio. Turn the volume control of your radio to the medium
setting and then set the input level control (4) in such a way as to produce a medium, average volume.
This setting normally ensures sufficient power reserves at an optimum noise voltage interval.
Warning: Reproduce loud test signals for a short time only so as to avoid damage to the speakers.
LOW-PASS FILTER WITH SWITCHABLE TRANSFER FREQUENCY
Set the desired transfer frequency on the low-pass frequency switch (5). The filter should be adjusted to
the sound requirements inside the audio system. The filter's edge steepness ensures the precise lowering
of medium and high-frequency ranges.
SWITCHABLE PHASE
The acoustic phase concerns a run-time correction, which can have a favorable influence on interference
phenomena in the transition band. The substantial wavelengths of bass sound waves can, depending on
the positioning of the subwoofer, give rise to falls in level in the frequency response because the sound
waves from the subwoofer and mid-woofer (e.g. a component system) obliterate each other. The
positioning also influences interference phenomena (e.g. standing waves).
The phase switch (6) can be used to influence or eliminate unfavorable acoustic phenomena. Check
whether switching over the phase also has a favorable influence on your listening position.
