Application
The 3UF18.. current transformer can be used as a line-
side transformer for the SIMOCODE basic unit 3UF10
and 3UF20 or for the 3UB11 electronic overload relay.
Other applications are also possible (see also catalog).
Current transformer must not be operated without a load
on the secondary side!
When using SIMOCODE 3UF10/20 in EExe mode to
DIN VDE 0165, current transformers 3UF1843-.. may only
be operated in the restricted transformer range
(see Fig. I)!

Installation
Separate mounting
For dimension drawings see Fig. II and III (dimensions in
mm).
Snap onto 35 mm standard mounting rail to
DIN EN 50022 or fix on a surface with two M4 screws
and enclosed push-in lugs (see Fig. III).
Minimum clearances to earthed parts see Fig. III
Can be mounted in any position.

Connection
Terminal screws which are not used must be tightened
as well.
Terminals of the 3UB11 suitable only for connection of
one conductor. Terminals are therefore connected via
fitted bridge. Double conductors should be compressed,
for example, with a terminal pin. Use 75 °C copper wire
only.
