Wipe the appliance dry aft er cleaning. The egg holder, lid and measuring cup can
be cleaned by either using detergent under running water or in the dishwasher.
7 Usage ti ps
• Place the appliance only on a level, dry surface.
• Do not keep your hands, clothes or other objects over the
opening in the lid while the appliance is working and do not cover
the opening.
• Do not use the appliance near fl ammable or explosive materials
and objects.
• Never place the appliance on hot surfaces.
• Only boil eggs in the appliance.
• Boil the eggs only if there is water in the bowl.
• The mains cable should not hang freely in the air or come into
contact with hot surfaces/objects.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the socket if the appliance is not
being used.
• Hot steam is generated when the appliance is being used. Avoid
contact with the steam when lift ing the lid or when steam comes
out of the opening in the lid.
• The scales on the measuring cup are merely indicati ve. Adjust the
amount of water as needed if the desired degree of hardness is
not obtained.
• Do not immerse the appliance in liquids.
• Do not use any liquids to clean the outer surfaces of the appli-
ance. Use a dry, soft cloth for this purpose.

Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions. Avoid contact
with mains voltages. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not certi fi ed
for use in the open air; only use it in dry conditi ons. Protect it from high humidity,
water and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the device
to sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibrati on as this might damage
electronic components.Examine the device for damage before using it. The unit
should not be used if it has received an impact or has been damaged in any other
