B ) INSTALLING A PARENT RECEIVING BATTERY UNIT
Use only alkaline batteries (3 X 1.5V AAA).
Rotate the belt clip upwards.
Unscrew the screw , remove the cover and insert the batteries.
Replace the cover , tighten the screw and make sure the cover properly closed.
Return the belt clip to the original position.
Putting the selector switch to ON will turn on the green power light.
CAUTION: Please ensure the batteries are positioned correctly; exhausted batteries
must be immediately removed from the unit, remove the batteries if not using the unit
for a certain period, never mix new batteries with exhausted ones.
EQUIPMENT OPERATION
Select a channel. The portable baby monitor may operate on two different predetermined
frequencies. Both units must be set to channel 1 (CH1). There is no need to change this setting
unless interference from the operation of similar equipment nearby is observed. Should that
be the case, set both units to channel 2 (CH2). The channel selection switch can be found on
the right side of each unit. Turn up the volume of the PARENT RECEIVING UNIT to hear sounds
transmitted by the BABY TRANSMITTING UNIT.
IMPORTANT: Both units must be set on the same channel for operation.
EQUIPMENT POSITIONING
Depending on your needs, the equipment may be positioned differently:
It may be simply placed on a flat surface.
The Parent RECEIVER unit can be tucked in ones belt using the appropriate hook.
IMPORTANT: Place the transmitter less than 3 meters away from the child, but out of his reach
or in his bed. Do not place the equipment near sources of heat, moisture or exposed to rain
TRANSMISSION RANGE
The open field receiving range can reach 200 metres, the optimum range for indoor use is
30-50 metres and is subject to the battery charge, obstacles , etc ...
An increase in electrical noise may occur at maximum range. Should this happen or should you
receive a weak signal, please draw slightly closer to the transmitter unit (see "Troubleshooting"
for further information). As your unit transmits using public frequencies, it may be disturbed
by other devices operating on the same radio frequency. Should that be the case, it is highly
advisable to place the transmitter and the receiver on the other channel.
IMPORTANT: You must ensure your equipment functions properly.
EQUIPMENT OPERATION CHECK
Have an adult slowly speak into the transmitter from the location where your child should be
monitored. Another adult should listen at the position where you should place the receiver to
ensure the maximum range allowed is not exceeded.
It is highly advisable to always keep a watch emitting a soft noise near the place where the child
