Carefully read these installation instructions and keep them within easy reach!
The CBB has been tested in accordance with the Directive 94/20/EEC, as per the German
StVZO, ISO 3853 and the Sweden standard SS 3501.
Technical Data:
The tested D-value is 8.5 kN. This corresponds, for example, to a towed weight of 1,600 kg and
a permissible total weight of 1,890 kg.
For driving, the data of the vehicle manufacturer with regard to the towed weight and trailer nose
weight are decisive, whereby the tested values of the CBB may not be exceeded.
The weight data for the trailer hitch given in the EC permit / ABG are indicated on the type plate.
Permissible trailer nose weight:
- Max. 75 kg
Permissible towed weights:
The permissible towed weights compulsory for the respective vehicle model are indicated in the
vehicle documentation. These apply to all types of trailers.
For cooling reasons, a heat shield is required in the area of the rear muffler on the 316 i / 316
iA for towed weights of over 1,100 kg (standard equipment when trailer hitch installed at the
factory).
