OneTouch

High Control Solution contains a known amount of
glucose that reacts with OneTouch
you obtain should fall within the range of results that you will find
printed on the vial of the test strips that you are using.
m CAUTION: The control solution range printed on the test strip
vial is for control solution only. It is used to test meter and test
strip performance. It is not a recommended range for your blood
glucose level.
m WARNING: Keep the meter and testing supplies away from young
children. Small items such as the battery door, batteries, test
strips, lancets, protective disks on the lancets, and control solution
vial cap are choking hazards.
Do a control solution test:
• To practice the test process, instead of using blood.
• Once a week.
• Whenever you open a new vial of test strips.
• If you suspect that the meter or test strips are not working properly.
• If you have had repeated unexpected blood glucose results.
• If you drop or damage the meter.
A single control solution test that is within the expected range is
enough to tell you that the meter and test strips are working together
and that you are doing the test properly.
Composition
The control solution consists of glucose in water with buffers and
stabilizers, a viscosity adjusting agent, a preservative, and a dye.
The approximate glucose concentration for the OneTouch
High Control Solution is 0.35%. An expected range of glucose
results for the control solution is printed on the label of your
