Before each storage
Retract the splitting column
Switch off device.
Close the oil cap
Pull out power plug
Store machines that are not in use in a dry locked place pro-
tected against frost and outside the reach of children and unau-
thorized persons.
Before extended storage, please observe the following to in-
crease the service life of the device and to ensure smooth
operation:
Thoroughly clean the device.
Check the device for damaged or worn parts.
Possible faults
Before each fault elimination:
Switch off device.
Pull out power plug
Problem
Logs are not being split properly
(insufficient splitting performance)
Splitting column moves unsteadily
or with strong vibrations.
Splitting column does not move in.
Motor starts, but splitting column
does not move in.
Motor does not start
In case of further faults or inquiries please contact your local dealer.
Possible Cause
The log is not positioned correctly
The log exceeds the maximum
dimensions or the wood is too hard
for the performance of the machine
Splitting blade does not split log
Oil leak
Hydraulic pressure too low
Incorrect connecting lead (longer
than 10 m or too small cable cross-
section).
Air in the circuit
Splitting column not sufficiently
lubricated or oiled
Hydraulic pump defective
Motor turns in wrong direction
No power supply.
2-phase mode in threephase mo-
tor.
Mains cable defective.
Electric motor defective

Remedy
Reposition the log correctly
Cut the log to the required dimensions
Sharpen splitting blade, check for burrs or notches
Place a sheet of cardboard under the log splitter in
order to locate the leak. To correct the problem, re-
fer to the manufacturer
Check the oil level and add more oil if necessary
If the problem cannot be rectified, refer to the man-
ufacturer
Use the correct connecting lead
Open oil tank cap
Check the oil level and add more oil if necessary
Lubricate splitting column or oil with environmental-
ly friendly spray oil.
If the problem cannot be rectified, refer to the man-
ufacturer
To correct the problem, refer to the manufacturer
Check the motor direction
Threephase: adjust the motor direction
Check fuses.
Have fuse and lead checked by qualified electri-
cian.
Replace the connection cable or have it checked by
an electrician
