Solar LED-Camping Lantern SCL 24
y The lantern has two LED indicators
(Fig.1: Sign 2), the red LED indicates
"charging" from either solar panel or AC/
DC power supply device (6-12V DC, not
included) and the green LED indicates
the product is in proper "working" condi-
tion. When charged by solar module,
the charging time will be around 12
hours under full sun. Use solar module
for initial charging for at least one day
without using the lamp. Lighting time will
be around 5-6 hours with fully charged
battery.
Attention
y Charging is most effective in sunlight
but the solar panel will also charge in
partly cloudy or cloudy weather, with
an unspeci¿ ed reduced ef¿ ciency. The
charging ef¿ ciency if the solar panel is
placed indoors is very low and not effec-
tive even if the red charging light is illu-
minated.
Warning: The solar panel is waterproof,
but the lantern is not waterproof. Do not
expose the lantern to water because it
may get damaged or destroyed.
y The surface of the solar panel should be
kept clean by periodically wiping it with a
soft cloth to ensure best performance.
y When the LED light turns to dim, turn off
the LED light (Fig.1: Sign 1) and discon-
nect any applications, then charge the
lantern by the solar module or AC adap-
tor (not included).
Maintenance and replacement of
the battery
During long-term storage without being
charged, the unit must be completely
recharged every 4-6 months in order to pre-
serve complete and proper performance.

In case the battery needs to be replaced
please proceed as follows:
y Remove the 4 casing screws on the bot-
tom of the lantern.
y Take off the top casing of the lantern,
disconnect and remove the battery. First
disconnect the black cable (-), then the
red cable (+).
y Replace the battery with a new one (4V,
4,5Ah). Make sure the correct poles are
connected when connecting the battery.
Incorrect polarities may damage the
device. First connect the red cable (+),
then the black cable (-).
y Re-assemble the lantern by reversing
this sequence.
