PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Please read the instructions below before using this product. Failure to follow these guidelines and
instructions may cause personal injuries and damage to equipment.
IMPORTANT !
• We decline all responsibility for any damage caused from failure to follow the guidelines and fitting
removal instructions of this user manual.
• Do not fasten the universal nut of the chain onto lock nuts or wheel nut caps.
• Remove the wheel caps and wheel nut caps.
• We strongly recommend that you try the chains at home before first us .
1 - Do not place yourself in danger! For your comfort and
safety, practise fitting the chains before attempting to do
so on snow-covered road.
2 - Ensure your tyres are those recommended by the vehicle
manufacturer in good condition, and that the tyre sizes match those
listed on the product application label. Ensure that the product size
matches exactly that of the vehicle tyres.
3 - The handling of the vehicle may be modified when snow chains
are fitte . Drive smoothly avoiding any sudden acceleration or braking.
When towing, please ensure you observe the highway code!
4 - Only use chains on roads that are covered in snow and/or ice.
5 - Follow the fitting/removal instructions carefull .
6 - For your safety, we recommend that you wear a fluorescen
safety jacket/vest when fitting and removing chains to your vehicle.
Read the recommendations of the highway code in the event of
vehicle breakdown.
7 - Fit the chains to your vehicle when it is parked and secured in
compliance with the fitting instructions. Always fit the chains in pairs
on a same axle, at least on the driving wheels. For 4WD vehicles (4
wheel drive), it is preferable to fit 2 sets of chain .
Suitable for passenger vehicles up to a maximum of 3.5 tons.
8 - Carry out a visual check on the chains each time before fitting them.
Chains that have already been used must be checked
visually each time before they are fitted. If they are damaged or
broken, the chain must not be fitted under any circumstances.
Only use original spare parts if repairs are necessary. (Contact the customer
service department for more information)
DO NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH JUST THE UNIVERSAL NUTS FITTED TO THE WHEEL.
ALWAYS REMOVE THEM WHEN THE CHAINS ARE REMOVED.
10 - The pressure of the tyres must comply with the vehicle
manufacturer's recommendations.
- Once the chain has been fitted check that no part of the chain touches
any part of the vehicle, even when the steering wheel is turned fully.
- After a short distance (approximately 50 - 100 metres), stop the
vehicle and check that the chains are still in position. The chains
must not slip. Also check that the chains are still correctly in position
after a distance of approximately one kilometre.
- Store the chains in a dry place when not in use. Wash and dry the
chains in clear water after use. Keep the chains away from any
chemicals (fuel, acid, heat).
- Before parking the vehicle for any prolonged periods, remove
the chains so that they do not freeze onto the tyres, which
would make them harder to remove.
- Be careful with your finger , hands and hair when fitting and removing
the chains to avoid any injuries.
- Use the special snow chain fitting gloves supplied with the chain .
- Keep away from the wheel as soon as the chain has been fitted and
it is moving. Fit the chains in a suitable, safe place.
- If the vehicle is equipped with an anti-skid device (ETS, ASR, ESP,
DSC, etc...) do not deactivate it.
- Do not exceed a speed of 50 kph.
- The manufacturer may not be held responsible for any failure to respect
these guidelines or any modifications made to the chain by the user.
