Solar-powered LED Duo fl oodlights
with motion detector LPL
By purchasing this item, you have chosen a
high-quality GEV product. Please read these
operating instructions carefully to ensure
correct operation. Keep these instructions
in a safe place so that you can refer back to
them if necessary.
Operation
The solar-powered LED fl oodlights with
motion detector operate with passive infrared
technology. If the motion detector's PIR sensor
detects a moving heat source in its detection
range, it automatically switches on. Static heat
sources do not switch the motion detector on.
The twilight switch can be set to ensure that the
motion detector will operate either during the day
and night or only when dark. The in-built timer
switches the solar-powered LED fl oodlights
off 10 seconds after the last movement is
detected. The solar panel recharges the in-built
rechargeable battery during the day.

warranty cover damage resulting from
failure to observe these instructions.
We do not accept liability for any
indirect damage. Similarly, we can accept no
liability for any material damage or bodily injury
caused by mishandling or failure to observe the
safety instructions. In these cases, no warranty
claim may be made. In addition, for safety and
compliance reasons, you are not authorised
to dismantle or alter the solar-powered LED
Duo fl oodlights in any way. If in any doubt,
rather than mounting, connecting and installing
the equipment yourself, contact a qualifi ed
technician.
Special notice for solar-powered fl oodlights
Condition
Shaded positions reduce battery charging
There is less sunlight during the winter months
than in the summer
Dirt, foliage or snow on the solar panels will
reduce the charging rate
Cold temperatures reduce battery performance
Mounting position for the solar module
Before installing the solar module, choose
a suitable outdoor position. During the day,
check that there is enough light to recharge the
batteries. The solar module should not be placed
behind glass as this fi lters out any infrared light
required to charge the infrared light. Respect
the length of the LED Duo fl oodlight connection
cable. It is not possible to extend the cable.
Mounting position for the solar-
powered LED Duo fl oodlights with
motion detector
Motion detection is maximised by moving at
an angle to the motion detector. Therefore, the
motion detector should be installed in a position
that ensures that objects/people do not move
directly towards the device.
Installation
Install the solar module as shown in fi g. A.
Tilt the solar module in an optimal position for
capturing sunlight (fi g. B).
Install the LED Duo fl oodlights with motion
detector as shown in (fi g. C).
Connect the battery pack plug to the LED Duo
fl oodlight socket (fi g. D) and place the LED
Duo fl oodlights on the wall connection plate
(fi g. E). Plug the solar panel plug into the LED
Duo fl oodlight socket (fi g. E1) and switch on
(fi g. E2).
Tilt both fl oodlights to the required position
(fi g. F).
Settings
Twilight switch approx. 3 to 1000 lux. (fi g. G -H)
The angle of detection can be limited using an
attachable screen, which can be cut to size
(fi g. I).

Battery and rechargeable battery
information
Only operate the solar-powered LED Duo
fl oodlights with 3.6 V NiMh 750 mAh.
Old batteries may not be disposed of with
the unsorted household waste. Owners
of used batteries are required by law to
recycle the batteries and can return them free
of charge to the place of sale. Batteries contain
material which is harmful to the environment
and health and must therefore be disposed of
professionally.
