VARIO COIL SYSTEM
6 Insert the posts (Image 3/2) into the
transverse beams.

The posts are resting on the inserted re-
tainer bolts.
7 Insert the left strut in the holes of the post
(Image 4/2).

The bottom end of the strut (Image 4/3)
is positioned above the corresponding
hole in the grid rail.

8 Insert the right strut in the holes of the
right post (Image 4/4).

The bottom end of the strut (Image 4/5)
is positioned above the corresponding
hole in the grid rail.
9 Move the retainer bolts for the posts (Im-
age 4/1) to Position 3 (Image 2/3), so
that the posts are seated in the trans-
verse beam up to the stop.
10 By lowering the posts, the struts are im-
mersed in the intended holes in the grid
rail. If necessary, move the struts slightly
until they are immersed.

11 Move the retainer bolts for the posts to
Position 1 (Image 2/1).

The posts are locked.
Dismounting
1 Lift both struts out of the grid rail and re-
move them from the post.
2 Deposit the struts in the coil well
(Image 5).
3 Move the retainer bolts for the posts to
Position 3 (Image 2/3).
4 Lift the posts upwards out of the trans-
verse beam.
5 Deposit the posts in the coil well
(Image 5).
6 Move both retainer bolts on the trans-
verse beam to Position 3 (Image 2/3).
7 Slide the transverse beam towards the
rear of the vehicle.
8 Lift the transverse beams upwards out of
the grid rails.
9 Deposit the transverse beam with the
square bolts upwards in the coil well (Im-
age 5).
