he heating element can be operated at a rated operating voltage of 12 V or 24 V. The power consumption in both cases is
The heating foil is connected at the pigtail leads soldered onto the film in accordance with one of the circuit diagrams reproduced below,
depending on the operating voltage.
Wire the element in such a way that it is always energized. To save energy, we advise providing an on-off switch for summertime use.
Ensure that the rated operating voltages of all connected elements are in agreement with the diagram.

Installation instructions

The heating foil is glued onto the back of the strike housing.
1) Remove the rating plate on the back of the housing (noting the data if
applicable).
2.) Clean the metal surface using a light solvent (such as cleaning
petroleum spirit) to ensure a grease-free, dry surface.
3.) Pull off the backing paper from the heating oil and stick onto the
back of the strike housing in around the position shown on the left.
4.) Smooth down the film and press it well onto the housing.
In the area of the crimped terminals, the heating foil stands around
3 mm proud. Ensure that there is sufficient space allowed for this
in the recess prepared for the strike.
