The Texsport rotisserie spit and grill is manufactured from heavy duty steel. We recommend that you not exceed 20-25 lbs. of meat
on the rotisserie and 15-20 lbs. on the cooking grate.
Your fire should be made using hard woods such as mesquite, oak, or pecan and avoid using light woods such as pine or aspen.
The actual cooking should be done when you have a good bed of coals rather than cooking with the open flame. It is best to dig a
fire pit around 6-8 inches deep with dimensions of 20" x 12" to fit under the cooking grate. Both the cooking grate and rotisserie
are height adjustable.
Do your rotisserie cooking first, when the fire is the hottest, placing the spit 12" to 24" above the flame, turning and adjusting ac-
cordingly. When switching to the grate cooking you can move your cooking level to 6" to 8" above the flame.
Finally, when you are done, be sure to drown the embers with water. Fill in your pit... and if it is too hot to touch, it is too hot to
leave. Leave no trace, if you packed it in, pack it out!
STEP 1 - Find a safe and clear
area where you are going to set-
up your camp fire. Insert the grill
stake into solid ground.
