Warning – Batteries
• When inserting batteries, note the correct
polarity (+ and - markings) and insert the
batteries accordingly. Failure to do so could
result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
• Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries)
that match the speci ed type.
• Before you insert the batteries, clean the battery
contacts and the polar contacts.
• Do not allow children to change batteries
without supervision.
• Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries
of a different type or make.
• Remove the batteries from products that are not
being used for an extended period (unless these
are being kept ready for an emergency).
• Do not short-circuit batteries.
• Do not charge batteries.
• Do not throw batteries in a re.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Never open, damage or swallow batteries or
allow them to enter the environment. They
can contain toxic, environmentally harmful
heavy metals.
• Immediately remove and dispose of dead
batteries from the product.
• Avoid storing, charging or using the device
in extreme temperatures and extremely low
atmospheric pressure (for example, at high
altitudes).
Warning – Button cells
• Do not ingest battery, risk of burns due to
dangerous substances.
• This product contains button cells. If swallowed,
the button cell can cause severe internal burns
within just two hours and lead to death.
• Keep new and used batteries out of the reach
of children.
• If the battery compartment does not close
securely, stop using the product and keep it out
of the reach of children.
• If you think that batteries were swallowed
or are in a part of the body, seek medical
assistance immediately.
Warning – Danger of hearing loss
due to alarm
• Loud volumes, even over short periods, can
cause hearing loss.
• Please note that when the alarm is triggered or
when you are testing the device, the emitted
signal tone generates high sound pressure that
can quickly cause hearing loss.
• Make sure you are not in the immediate vicinity
of the alarm speaker for more than 3 minutes
during a test or when the alarm is triggered.
4. Getting started and operation
It's so simple:
• Download the Hama Smart Solution app from
the Apple App Store or on Google Play.
• Open the Hama Smart Solution app.
• If you're using it for the rst time, you'll have to
register and create a new account. If you already
have an account, log in using your login details.
• First you have to integrate the siren in the app. To
do so, you connect the siren to the included USB
cable and to a permitted power supply unit. Please
also refer to the operating instructions for the
power supply unit.
• Then connect the power supply unit to a properly
installed socket.
• If you want to operate the siren using battery
power, turn the bottom of the device clockwise and
remove it. Now insert type CR123A batteries with
the correct polarity. For standard mains operation,
no batteries are necessary.
• Wait until the LEDs begin to ash quickly.
• Click '+' in the upper-right corner in the app and
select the 'Sensors' category.
• Click 'OK' to con rm that the siren is ashing
quickly.
• Then enter the name of your WiFi network and the
password, and con rm.
• Once the connection has been established, the app
con rms that the siren was connected. You can now
give it a name.
• Click 'Finish' to complete the process.
• You can now rename, set and con gure your device.
Note – Pairing restart
First remove the bottom of the device by turning
it clockwise. Press and hold the Reset button on
the bottom of the siren for about 5 seconds until
the device ashes quickly.
