Caution! Danger of burning! The appliance
gets very hot during operation. During
operation of electrical caloric appliances,
high temperatures – by boiling water, hot
steam or hot body – are generated, which
may cause injuries. Only touch the cool
touch handle to open or close! Never touch
lid or housing!
Caution! Use the appliance with the stand
provided only. Do not use foreign parts.
• In order to fill in water, always lift off the
kettle from the base station.
• Open the lid and fill the reservoir with
fresh water. The quantity of water filled in
has to be between MIN and MAX at the
inner water level scale – don't exceed or
under-run.
• Close the lid carefully until locked. The
automatic switch-off works only with a pro-
perly closed lid.
• Connect the appliance to the current.
• Put the kettle on its base station and
switch-on the appliance by pressing the
ON/OFF switch.
• The kettle switches off automatically some
seconds after the water has started to
boil.
• Manually switch-off is possible at any
time. If you want to re-boil the water,
switch on the appliance again. The boiling

• Note: The kettle will automatically switch
off and the control lamps will switch off.
To re-boil simply switch on again (position
"I"). You may interrupt the boiling at any
time by switching off (position "0").
• The appliance is equipped with a safety
system and will automatically cut off,
should the kettle be accidentally operated
without or with not enough water. Please
note that in this case the water kettle is
not switched off completely and could
switch on again after the appliance has
cooled down. Avoid switching on without
water and always unplug if not in use.
• Do not leave water in the kettle after use.
Empty the water kettle completely to avoid
lime residues.
After each use for safety reason unplug
the appliance!
