1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

To reduce risks of injury, anyone using,
installing, repairing, maintaining,
changing accessories or working near
this tool must read and understand these
instructions before performing any such
task.
This unit must be earthed.
This unit must not be used in
explosive atmoshpheres.
Do not operate with covers removed.
● Before carrying out any servicing, cleaning,
removing of jammed screws, ensure power is
turned off from the feeder and the AC adaptor
is disconnected.
● Be sure to keep the feeder away from
flammable or explosive gases, heat sources,
humidity, static electricity and direct sunlight.
Do not use the feeder if the above are
present.
● Set the feeder on a flat and stable place.
Otherwise it may fall and cause injuries.
● Unplug the AC adaptor from the electric
outlet after use or when the feeder is not
used for a long time.
● Use only the AC adaptor supplied with the
feeder.
● Never insert fingers or other objects in the
screw bin, the access holes or other open
spaces.
● Keep loose articles of clothing, long hair and
cleaning materials away from the feeder.
● In case of malfunction, turn off the power and
unplug the AC adaptor. Continuing to use a
malfunctioning feeder may cause fire, electric
shock or injury. Contact your Desoutter
representative.
● Do not scratch the rail or allow oil to get on it.
● Use only the recommended screws. Do not
use screws covered with oil or dust.
● Do not use excess force when removing
screws. All repairs to the unit to be carried
out by Desoutter Authorised Representatives.

2. DECLARATION OF USE
Screw presenters are intended to supply screws
for pick up by Desoutter screwdrivers.
No other use will be permitted.

3. OPERATION
3.1. Feeding the screws
● Open the screw bin lid.
● Add screws until they come to 3mm from the
top of the rail.
● Do not overload the screw bin.
● The motor protecion circuit will not start the
feeder if it is overloaded.
● To switch ON the unit, insert the AC adaptor
plug into the DC jack at the rear of the feeder
and insert the AC adaptor into the mains
supply and turn on the power switch (the
indicator will illuminate).
● The screw dipping plate and the rail will
begin oscillating and the unit will start feeding
screws.
● When the screw rail is full the unit will stop
automatically.
● On removal of a screw the unit will start to
oscillate and refill the screw rail.
3.2. To pick up screws
● Attach a magnetized bit to your screwdriver
to match the head of the screw.
● Place the screwdriver bit somewhere in the
opening of the bit guide and push it straight
down while turning the bit slightly, until it
engages in the screw head.
