Ratchet pipe cutter
ENG
The rubber profile of the grip wheel consists of ribs and slots which allow correct handling.
1. Position the pipe cutter on the pipe which needs to be cut and turn it without expenditure of
energy on the grip wheel until the pipe fits close to the cutting wheel and holder-up on both
sides.
Depending on the material which needs to be cut it is necessary to readjust the cutting wheel
from 2 to 5 positions (grip RIBS).
Smooth material:
Hard materials:
The lateral arrows on the grip shaft serve to mark the points (fixed-points).
2. Then activate the ratchet mechanism by pulling out the grip. Please observe that the cutting
wheel requires at least two 360° turns after the infeed in order to obtain the necessary free cut-
ting.
3. Only then it is possible to readjust the cutting wheel as described above (ribs).
4. Repeat item 3 resp. 1 only as often as required until the workpiece is completely cut.
Please observe:
In order to obtain an optimum cutting performance it is imperatively necessary that the cutting
wheel can freely turn around the cutting wheel axis when used.
It is also helpful to use some drilling and cutting oil (6580 5800) or drilling and cutting oil for
drinking water (6580 5850) for each cut.
ATTENTION:
The cutting performance of the device is in no way increasing if the cutting
wheel is overtightened. This would lead to blocking of the cutting wheel on the
cutting wheel axis and may destroy the pipe cutter.
