5 - PREPARATION - FIRST USE

- Connection of the discharge hose:
Ensure that gasket is fitted
Screw the multi-stage straight connector (G) onto the
outlet (E), not forgetting the flat gasket supplied.
The stepped discharge connection (G) allows (fig.2):
- The fitting of hoses 25 mm and 32 mm in diameter,
- Or the screwing of a 1" female tap nose and the
quick connection of suitable hose fittings,
- Or the use of a supplied high-speed connection (K).
Cut off the end of the unused fitting (Fig.2).
- Adjustment of the switch (Fig.3):
The switch (B) can be moved vertically in its bracket
(D), and be positioned in one of the 2 following zones:
- Manual (3.1): the pump can be switched on or off
continuously when the switch is in this zone.
The pump is not intended for continuous
extended use or for dry running. Otherwise,
the pump may overheat and may cause
injury to the user. Do not leave unattended.
- Automatic (3.2): Throughout this zone, it is possible
to adjust the water level from which the pump is trig-
gered. When the water level is higher than the height
of the switch, the pump is switched on; it cuts out
when the water level is below it.

- Installation:
Depending on the nature of the drained water, posi-
tion the reversible base (I) in the dirty water position
(Fig.4.1) or in the clean water position (Fig.4.2). To do
this, unscrew the 2 screws (J) using a suitable tool,
then position the base in the desired position (this is
also indicated on the base itself), and reattach it using
screws.
If necessary, lower the pump using a rope attached to
the carrying handle (never using the power cable),
and position it in the area to be emptied.
- Starting up:
Make sure nothing restricts the backflow of water from
the pump (for example, kinked hose). Connect the
pump to the power supply after making sure that the
safety measures are followed.
If the switch is in the "Automatic" zone, the pump
starts automatically once the required water level is
achieved (water level above the height of the switch)
and stops when water is low enough (water level
below the height of the switch), depending on the
setting made previously (fig.3).
If the switch is in the "Manual" zone, the user directly
controls the shutdown and start of the pump.
The priming height depends on the position of the
reversible base. In the "clean water" position, this
height can be lowered thanks to the presence of a
non-return valve. Simply fill the pump via the drain
hose (pump off), or run once to allow priming with 5
mm of residual water.
