Operation
1. Select the proper location and plug the
cord into an appropriate extension cord if
needed.
2. Once plugged into an outlet, the device is
active. The black light should illuminate and
the bug zapper is ready for use.
3. Unplug device when not in use.

CAUTION!
The device is only designed
to withstand moderate rain. If severe weather
is expected, take the device down and store
indoors until the severe weather has passed.

Cleaning the Collection Tray
The collection tray should be emptied frequently.
Use caution when opening the tray as some
dead insects may fall out upon removal.
1. Unplug the bug zapper and rotate the
collection tray counterclockwise to remove
it from the housing (Fig. 3).

2. Empty tray with the cleaning brush, then
rinse and dry it. Avoid touching insect
remains by hand.
3. Return the collection tray back into the
bottom of the housing. Rotate clockwise to
lock it in place.

WARNING!
zapper does not require cleaning. Do not attempt
to clean the housing with water, solvents or any
other liquids.
Electric Grid Cleaning
If excess amounts of dead insects begin to
accumulate on the grid, the function of the
device may be compromised. To ensure the
effectiveness of this device, clean the grid
periodically.

avoid any risk of shock or injury. Ignoring this
warning may result in death or serious injury.
1. Unplug the device and un-hang the bug
zapper. Allow it to sit for 30 seconds for the
electrical charge to dissipate.
2. Gently brush loose the dead insects on the
electric grid through the open slits in the
housing with the cleaning brush.
NOTE: Never use water to clean the grid as
this can damage the electronics.
3. After brushing, the dead insects should
collect in the collection tray below. Empty it
as shown in (Fig. 3).
4. Hang the bug zapper back up and plug it in
to get back to zapping.
