Description
The SPS-FSIT Infrared Hand-held Remote Control provides remote
dimming or switching from the palm of your hand. The Infrared Hand-
held Remote Control transmits signals (up to 30 feet) to the Spacer
System Dimmers. The Infrared Hand-held Remote Control is
TM
compatible with other learnable remote controls.
The Infrared Hand-held Remote Control is safe for
use around baths and spas.
DO NOT SUBMERGE.
Battery Replacement
The SPS-FSIT Infrared Hand-held Remote Control uses 2 AAA
batteries pre-installed (see diagram). For best results use alkaline
batteries. Do not use NiCad batteries. Removal of batteries will not
affect the scene programming of your Spacer System Dimmers.
To replace batteries:
1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Replace with 2 size AAA alkaline batteries as shown.
3. Replace the battery cover.
Troubleshooting
Problem
Infrared Hand-held
Remote Control has no
effect on the Spacer
System Dimmer.
Favorite scene does not
change when
programmed.

Slide and lift off
battery cover.
Causes
Spacer System Dimmer power is off.
Dead, low, or no batteries in the Infrared Hand-held
Remote Control.
Infrared Hand-held Remote Control is too far away
from the Spacer System Dimmer.
Batteries inserted incorrectly.
Favorite scene button is not held until the LEDs on
the Spacer System Dimmers blink (approximately 4
seconds).
Infrared Wireless Remote Control is not pointed at
the Spacer System Dimmers when setting or
recalling scenes.

Operation
Point the Infrared Hand-held Remote Control at the Spacer System
Dimmer, not an Accessory Dimmer, then use the Tap Switch and
Dimming Rocker as shown below.
Press to turn On to
favorite scene.
Press to turn Off.
OR
Press and hold to
activate delayed fade
to Off. As Off button is
held, LEDs on the
Spacer System
Dimmers will begin to
flash. Each flashing LED
represents 10 seconds
of delay before dimmer
fades to Off (up to 60
seconds).
Easy Scene Programming–Just Like a Car Radio
1. Adjust Spacer System Dimmers to desired light levels.
2. Point SPS-FSIT at Spacer System Dimmers.
3. Press and hold top button until Spacer System Dimmers LEDs
flash (approximately 4 seconds). Favorite scene is set.
Remedies
Restore power.
Install new batteries.
Move to within 30 feet of the Spacer System
Dimmer.
Install batteries per diagram.
Hold favorite scene button until LEDs on Spacer
System Dimmers blink.
Point the Infrared Hand-held Remote Control directly
at the Spacer System Dimmers when storing and
recalling lighting scenes.
