In case of problems
The majority of difficulties that are encountered are due to an
incorrect installation or an unfavourable environment that
downgrades the performance and is a source of audible interference
(buzzing and line noise). Look for your particular problem in the
table below and try out the offered solution. If none of the solutions
work, disconnect the base and extension units from the mains and
carry out the installation once again beginning from page 4,
carefully carrying out all the instructions found in this leaflet in the
correct order.

Solutions
- Check all the mains sockets and telephone line connections.
- Slightly change the position of the base or extension unit.
- Repeat the matching procedure, first on the base unit (page 6)
then on the extension.
- Move the base unit or extension unit (halogen lamps, light
dimmers, touch sensitive switches or over voltage protection
devices may sometimes generate interference).
- Reduce the distance between the base and the extension unit.
Carry out a trial in the room where the base unit is by
plugging the extension unit into another mains socket in the
same room.
- Reduce the distance between the base and the extension. The
maximum distance between the base and extension units
depends upon the specific electrical cabling in your house or
apartment (length and layout of cables). It is generally between
25 and 30 metres.
- Repeat the matching procedure first on the base unit (page 6)
and then on the extension.
