ATTENTION:
Never open the housing.
Never remove the circuit board from its housing.
Never crimp or cut cables while they are connected
to powered equipment.
The module is not provided with additional protection
against short circuit, therefore it is recommended to
use a power supply with the correct specifications.
Mordomus shall not be liable for any damages
resulting from the use of our equipment outside the
specifications and/or for a purpose other than that
intended.
When using a low cross section cable there might be
voltage drops that could force the module into under-
voltage protection mode.
iTM3
Do not connect power supplies with an output current
greater than 4A.
The power supply shall never be connected to the
modules at the extremities of the bus as in
Do not connect any voltage sources to the inputs of
the iTM3.
The power supply shall be connected to a central
module in order to distribute the power to the
remaining modules. For larger installations add as
many power supplies as required, always respecting
a uniform distribution. View

4.The settings are mutually exclusive. Settings
other than those indicated may result in unexpected behavior.
Connections:
Specification and cross section of conductors:
MDiBus Circuit - CAT 6 UTP;
The iTM3 module allows RTD connections in 3-wire mode and
2-wire mode. For PT100 and wire lengths over 2m, a 3-
conductor RTD should be used in order to compensate for the
resistance of the connecting wires. Without this compensation, the
measurement may return erratic values. It is not recommended to
exceed 30m of cable between iTM3 and the RTD. All conductors
for the RTD interconnection must have the same section and must
be kept away from any source of electromagnetic interference.

MDiBus connection: To connect the module to the MDiBus a CAT
6 UTP cable with RJ45 connectors according to EIA568A or
EIA568B standards must be used.
15VDC Power supply: It is recommended to use the iPSE154
power supply. The iTM3 module can source its power from other
nearby modules through the MDiBus cable.
Enrollment:
To enroll the iTM3 module proceed as follows:
1.
Make sure that the iTM3 is powered by a suitable
power supply
and connected to the MdiBus
.
2.
In the Mordomus software access the menu
Configurations and access the sub-menu Modules/
Addresses.
3.
On the iTM3, press and hold the addressing button
for at least 1sec. The green LED will blink slowly
until the addressing is complete.
4.
The iTM3 should be added automatically to the list
and the green LED should stop blinking.
The frequency of the temperature updates (refresh rate) can
be defined in the Mordomus Software by selecting the desired
input in Configurations, Modules/Addresses. Possible values
are: 1, 3, 5, 10, 30 seconds and 1, 3, 5, 10, 30 minutes. The default
is 10 seconds.
Reset:
To perform a reset to the module, interrupt the 15VDC
power supply for 5 seconds.
LED codes:
Green LED ON: Module powered and enrolled to software;
Red LED ON: Module powered and not enrolled to software;
Green and Red LEDs blinking simultaneously: Under-voltage
protection mode. Power supply voltage is to low;
Green LED blinking continuously: Module awaiting address
definition;
Red LED flashing: Module sending/receiving data.
v.2102
Note: The light of the green and red LEDs is visible through the
grid of the plastic enclosure.
