The 550 Solo 2RJ45 powerline
adapter only works in combination
with another powerline adapter.

CASE 1
You want to use your new powerline adapter to have
Internet access in any room you like: go directly to step 2.
CASE 2
You want to connect your new essentiel b powerline
adapter to your modem:
Plug a powerline adapter
into the electrical outlet*
closest to your modem.
* To optimise the performance of your installation, plug
your powerline adapter into the electrical outlet that
your modem is usually plugged into, and then plug the
modem into the adapter's integrated outlet.

Connect your modem to the
powerline adapter using the
cable provided.

Plug your new powerline adapter
(case 1) or the adapter(s) you
already own (case 2) into the

room(s) where you want Internet
access
INSTALLATION
Pairing
Your powerline adapters recognise each
other automatically.
Wait a few seconds. The indicator light
turns green.
ENABLE MANUAL RECOGNITION
If the automatic recognition fails, press the PAIR button
on the powerline adapter next to the modem for one
second . The indicator light flashes green. You have

two minutes to repeat the action on the other powerline
adapter(s).
The powerline adapters recognise each other. Wait
a few seconds (up to 60 seconds). The indicator light
turns green.
Connect the other powerline adapter(s) to your computer,
video game console, TV, etc.
You can now browse the Internet.

installation manual(s) for pairing steps.
