Bedside Crib
Instructions for safe use
Tools required:
Allen key and crosshead screwdriver (not supplied).
Important Notes
A mattress is not provided. Only use a mattress that is correctly sized, 90cm x 40cm, no more than 5 cm deep and meets the
requirements of BS 1877-10:2011 Part 10 for the Safety of Mattresses. We recommend use of the Little Chick London
Breathable Crib Mattress.
Assemble Crib
Correctly orientate both leg assembly's as shown in components diagram.
Important: Front leg – Top corner faces LEFT,
Back leg - Top corner faces RIGHT. Hinge is on the top section and the THIS WAY UP label FACES OUT.
Loosely connect the 2 bottom side rails B to the X frames A using 4 x Bolts C and Barrel nuts (Fig1).
Insert the 2 top rails B into the fabric sleeves on the long side of the fabric crib body (Fig2).
Loop the corner webbing onto the side rail and attach to the X frame using Bolt C and Barrel Nut D as show in Fig 3. Tighten
with allen key.
Repeat for all 4 corners ensuring webbing is correctly looped onto the side rails.
Fully tighten all screws on top and bottom side rails with the Allen key and then rotate the side rails so that the open slots are
on the underside and are not visible.
Wrap the fabic covers over the hinges and close with Velcro fastenings.
To Fold
Lift the unhinged end of both metal braces until the screw is in the wider part of the keyhole and unhook.
Push the two top rails together to fold (Fig 4).
Ensure metal braces are fully locked before use.
Using your new Crib safely
ONLY SUITABLE FOR USE FOR A YOUNG BABY. WHEN A CHILD IS ABLE TO SIT, KNEEL OR PULL ITSELF UP, THE CRIB SHOULD
NOT BE USED ANYMORE FOR THIS CHILD.
Note: Do not use a mattress more than 5cm thick, or use 2 mattresses. The max label sewn inside the crib indicates
maximum mattress height. It is important that the internal vertical height, measured from the top of the mattress to the top of
the short side, is at least 200mm.
WARNING! Ensure your crib is positioned on a flat, horizontal surface, away from open windows, trailing cables, hanging
cords, open fires and other sources of strong heat such as radiators, electric bar fires and gas fires.
Do not modify the structure in any way or use the crib body without positioning on the X frame provided.
Young children should not be allowed to play unsupervised near the crib or to stand on the side rails.
All fittings should be checked regularly. Ensure all screws are correctly tightened and do not work loose. Loose screws can
pose a risk of strangulations as they could trap parts of the body or items of clothing, strings, necklaces and ribbons for babies
dummy. We recommend regular checks and tightening with Allen key provided.
WARNING! Discontinue use if any part becomes broken, torn or missing. Only use approved replacement parts obtained from
Little Chick London.
This item is deigned for domestic use only and is not intended for commercial use.
