Signal Output
TV-screen
If your TV set has a 16:9 aspect ratio screen,
select "16:9" or "16:9 (Pillarbox)". Selecting 16:9
will show all 4:3 programmes with filled-in black
bars on the left and right of the picture. This will
enlarge the overall picture, however, the picture
will be expanded. Selecting "16:9 (Pillarbox)" will
show all 4:3 programmes with black bars on the
left and right of the picture.
For 4:3 screens you can choose from the "4:3
(full screen)" or "4:3 (letterbox)" settings.
Selecting "4:3 (full screen)" will show any 16:9
programmes with black bars at the top and
bottom of the picture. This will enlarge the
overall picture; however, the left and right picture
borders will be truncated. The "4:3 (letterbox)"
setting will display the entire picture, but black
bars will appear at the top and bottom when
programmes broadcast in 16:9 format are
received.
Video format
Sets the type of video signal to be used on the
TV-SCART connector. YUV provides a very
good
picture
quality.
The
option
RGB
guarantees a high colour accuracy and picture
sharpness through the separate transmission of
the red, green and blue colour channels. If the
connected device does not support "YUV" or
"RGB" output, select "CVBS".
