4.1

Intended use

This vacuum cleaner is designed for the collection of dust and granulated
material. It can also be configured for the collection of wet material. For use
with wet material, the vacuum cleaner is delivered with a float ball.
4.2

A EX 2GD - Model vacuum cleaners and ATEX

Equipment category
All A EX - Model vacuum cleaners are marked with the symbol
category 2GD equipment according to directive 2014/34/EU. This means that
models with the EX symbol may be placed in areas classified as zone 21 or 1
according to directive 1999/92/EC.
Special conditions for safe use
If the A EX model vacuum cleaner is to be part of a centralized vacuum system,
such a system must be designed and built according to applicable ATEX and
local regulations. It is the responsibility of the system designer to ensure that
all necessary safety requirements are met for the complete system. It lies
within the responsibility of the end-user to determine and develop proper
documentation.
Product marking
Product is ATEX classified and marked:
CE II 2GD c IIB/IIC 60°C (T6)
Marking explanation
II: Equipment group (non mining equipment).
2GD: Equipment category 2 intended for use with combustible as well as non-combustible
dust and gas.
c: Protection method used is constructional safety according to EN 13463-5.
IIB: Gas group. Applies to PUR and PVC hose.
IIC: Gas group. Applies to PE and black PVC.
60°C (T6): Maximum surface temperature.
