Charging the Isis from a USB device
This could be your home computer,
laptop, USB mains plug or even an
USB car plug. For example most
modern mobile phones now come
with a USB mains plug for charging
and this is ideal for charging the Isis.
Simply plug in the Isis 'charging cable' to your USB device and place the other end
into the Freeloader Isis charging port (5) (see Fig 1 and 3)
The Isis has an LCD display (see Fig 2) that will show the current level of charge in
the internal battery. Once a full charge is received the display will show a full battery
symboland the USB icon will stop flashing. You can then disconnect the Freeloader Isis
from the 'charge and your Isis is ready for use. If charging for the first time or after a
long period of not being used it can take the over 8 hours to fully charge via USB.
We recommend charging the Isis like this every 3 months to keep the battery in top
condition. Please do not leave the Freeloader Isis constantly on charge via USB.
Charging the Isis from the sun
Solar charging will take place in most daylight conditions but the better sunlight
you give it the quicker the charging. Simply facing the solar panel towards the sun
will start the Freeloader Isis charging. The indictor on the LCD screen will indicate a
charge taking place. A small stand is built in to the back of the Freeloader Isis that will
conveniently hold the Isis at a nice angle to get the best charge from the sun.
Pressing the power button (7) (see Fig 1) will show the current charge in the Freeloader
Isis. Charging time from the sun is up to 20 hours depending on the current charge in
the Freeloader.
Powering and or charging up your device
(phone, tablet, camera etc)
The Freeloader Isis has two 'arms' built into
the main unit. Both of these can charge devices
at the same time.
(1) Arm number 1 (Fig 4) has a lighting connector
on it. This is ideal for Apple devices that use the
lighting connector. Simply connect it as you would
normally when charging your device. Then press
the blue power button.
(2) Arm number 2 has a Micro USB connection. This is the general charging
connector that is used on almost all modern phones / smart phones. Simply
connected it as you would when normally charging your device. Then press the
blue power button.
