DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE
NOTE:

USING YOUR FREEZER
Before switching on
Make sure that it has been installed by a suitably qualified person,
o
as per the information contained in installation instructions.
After delivery, wait for eight hours before connecting the appliance
o
to your mains supply. This will allow any refrigerant gasses that may
have been disturbed during the transportation process to settle.
The outside of the appliance and the removable accessories
o
contained within it, should be cleaned with a solution of liquid
detergent and water.
The interior of the appliance should be cleaned with a solution of
o
sodium bicarbonate dissolved in lukewarm water. The interior and
accessories should be thoroughly dried, after the cleaning process
has been completed.
There can be an odour when you first switch on the appliance. It will
o
lessen as the appliance starts to cool.
During first use
You should set the thermostat dial to its maximum setting for 24
o
hours after switching on the appliance for the first time.
When you first switch on the appliance, the compressor will run
o
continuously for approximately 24 hours or until the fridge freezer
reaches a cool enough temperature.
During this period of time, you should try not to open the door
o
frequently or place a large amount of food within the appliance.
You should then adjust the thermostat dial down to its normal
o
operating position.
If the unit is switched off or unplugged, you must allow at least 5
o
minutes before restarting the appliance on the thermostat or
connecting it to your mains supply.
o
Starting the refrigerator
There are total 6 temperature settings for the refrigerator. After
connecting to the power supply, the refrigerator will be set on setting
3, which is the default setting.

Adjusting the temperature:
The temperature inside the refrigerator is adjusted by pressing the left "
button. By pressing the button, the settings 1 to 5 represent different
temperatures from the highest to the lowest.

" indicate super freezing function. By pressing the "
continuously, and select the super freezing function. When activated, the SF
symbol will illuminate. The SF period will last 24 hours, then it will
automatically turn off, and the previous thermostat setting will be restored.

Caution: Some time will be required for the refrigerator to reach the set level
when temperature adjustments are made. The length of this period is
determined by difference in the existing and set temperatures, the ambient
temperature, the frequency with which the door is opened and closed and
the amount of food in storage.
THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT
o
The freezer compartment temperature must have already reached -18
degrees centigrade (or lower) before you attempt to store food that is
already frozen or freezing fresh food.
o
The freezer compartment is only able to freeze a certain quantity of food at
one time. You should not attempt to freeze more than 4.5 kilograms of
fresh food within a 24 hour period.
o
Warm food should be allowed to cool down before you attempt to freeze
it. If you place warm food in the freezer, then the increased humidity will
cause quicker ice formation and increase the amount of power that the
appliance uses.
o
The guidance of the food manufacturer should be followed, in regard to the
maximum storage time.
o
Thawed foods must not be frozen for a second time.
o
Do not open the freezer door too often or leave the door open for long
periods of time, as this will increase the temperature inside of the
appliance and will increase the energy usage.

Tips on freezing
Freezer bags, polythene wraps, aluminium foil (extra thick) and special cans

for frozen foods are suitable packaging for storing frozen goods in.
Tape, rubber bands or plastic clips are suitable for sealing bags and

wrappings.
Before sealing a suitable bag, you should compress the air out of it, as this will
o
help the food to freeze more easily.
Flat packages freeze more easily.
