3. MAINTENANCE & CLEANING
Cleaning and care
•
Do not immerse the equipment in water!
•
After each use, remove cult hairs from the cutting set using the cleaning brush,
•
Only wipe the equipment with a soft or slightly damp cloth.
•
Never use solvents or scouring agents!
•
Do not use any other cleaning agents.
•
For long-Iasting good cutting performance, it is important! to oil the cutting set frequently (Fig.5).
Only use oil provided.
•
Cutting set oil and hygienic spray are available from your dealer or our Service Centre.
•
If the cutting performance deteriorates after long use despite regular cleaning and oiling, the
culling set should be replaced.
•
Use the blade guard when the equipment is not in use.
•
Always store the equipment with the blade guard in place.
Changing the clipping comb and clipping blade
•
Switch off the equipment using the on/off switch (Fig.1 b).
•
Disconnect from the mains.
•
Undo both screws on the cutting set, remove the clipping comb and clipping blade (Fig .6).
•
When assembling, the clipping comb and clipping blade should be aligned as follows (Fig .7).
•
Raise cutting-length adjustment lever-shortest cutting length (Fig .3a).
•
The distance between the front edge of the clipping comb and the front edge of the clipping blade
should be between 0.8 mm and 1.6mm (Fig.7a).
•
The clipping comb and clipping knife should be parallel to each other.
•
The first tooth of the clipping blade (from the left!) must cover the first tooth of the clipping comb
or be located slightly lo the left of this (Fig.7b).
•
The outermost tooth of the clipping blade (on the right) must touch the outermost large tooth of
the clipping comb (on the right) (Fig .7c).
•
Tighten both screws (Fig.6).
Guarantee
This product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the
date of purchase. Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts to be
defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service centres. This guarantee is only
valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been
modified, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse. This
guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as glass and ceramic items, bulbs,
etc. If the product does not work and it is the reason for returning it and it is within the guarantee period,
please also show the guarantee card and proof of purchase.
