IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:
PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Thank you for choosing an Optimus heater. To ensure the best performance from your heater, please read and save the
following instructions.
WHEN USING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES, BASIC PRECUATIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED TO REDUCE
THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK AND INJURY TO PERSON, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
Read all instructions before using this heater.
This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use grip handle when
provided.
Keep combustible materials such as drapes, furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least three
(3) feet (0.9m) from the front of heater and keep them at least 1 foot (0.3m) the sides and rear of the heater.
Extreme caution is necessary when heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left
operating and unattended.
Always unplug heater when not in use.
Do not use any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions or has been dropped or
damaged in any manner. Return heater to manufacturer for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or
repair. (See Warranty for information).
Do not use outdoors.
This heater is not to be used in bathrooms, laundry areas or other similar indoor locations. Never locate heater
where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like. Arrange cord away from
traffic area where it will not be tripped over.
To disconnect heater, turn control to OFF then remove plug from outlet.
Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause electric shock or
fire or damage the heater.
To prevent possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed,
where openings may become blocked.
A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable
liquids are used or stored.
Use this heater only as directed in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause
fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause risk of fire. However, if you
must use an extension cord, the cord shall be No. 14AWG minimum size and rated not less than 1875 watts. Never
use a single extension cord to operate more than one Heater.
If the heater will not operate: See specific instructions in Safety Feature explained in this manual.
CLEANING/ MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS:
During Season Care:
Before cleaning, be sure to turn off and unplug the heater.
Carefully wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Please be very cautious near the motor and
heating elements.
Do not immerse the heater in water.
Never use gasoline, benzene or thinner. This will damage the surface of the heater.
After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit with a cloth or towel.
After Season Care:
Store heater in a cool and dry location with power cord properly secured.
Please store the unit in its original carton or suitable container.
PRE—OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
Carefully remove your heater from the box (please save the carton for off-season storage)
Make sure the unit is in the OFF position before plugging the heater into the outlet.

Note: The oscillation feature only works when the heating element is on.
SAFETY FEATURES:
SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS:
Plug the power cord into a wall outlet (110-120V AC,60Hz). You will hear a beep sound and
the power light will be on.
Turn the unit on by pushing the ON/OFF button. When the unit is turned on, the display will
illuminate and show the room temperature and the adjustable thermostat temperature (preset
to 80°F) and the unit will begin running on Low (800W). Push the ON/OFF button one more
time to turn the unit off. When the unit is turned off, the fan will still work for about 10 seconds
to cool the heating element down.
Push the HI/LO button while the heater is on to select the heater output wattage you desire.
Push once to set it on High (1500W) and the display will show ""∫∫∫∫" as well as "Hi". Push one
more time to turn the heater on Low (800W) and the display will show "∫∫" as well as "Lo"
When the heating element is on, you may push the (+) or (-) button to select the thermostat
temperature and each push will increase or decrease with 1°F or (1°C if it is displayed in
Celsius). The thermostat temperature setting range is between 39°F and 98°F (or 4°C and
37°F if it is displayed in Celsius). If you push the (+) and (-) button simultaneously, the
temperature will change between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
Each time you push the button, the beep will sound once.
When the room temperature is about 2°F (or 2°C if it is displayed in Celsius) higher or lower
than the set thermostat temperature, the heater will automatically turn the unit off or on itself.
The timer has a setting range of 0.5 hour to 8 hours. Each push will increase 0.5 hour up to 8
hour and then the timer turns off.
Press the oscillation switch located at the bottom of the unit to start fan oscillation.
Press the Oscillation Switch for the second time to stop oscillation.
In the event of abnormal overheating, a safety device will shut down the unit automatically and
alarm will be sound from the unit.
In case of overheating:
a.
Remove any objects near the unit that may cause overheating.
b.
Use the unit in a well-ventilated area. Keep at least three feet (0.9 meters) of space on all
sides of the product to allow adequate air circulation.
c.
If you still notice the same problem, remove the plug from the socket and contact our
customer service department.
If there is a switch under the bottom of your product, the unit will be shut off automatically when
it's tilt over.
The unit can be switched off ONLY by pressing the POWER switch.
WARNING: Ensure the plug fits tightly in power outlet. A loose fit will cause overheating and
damage the plug and socket.
NOTE: The plug and power cord may feel warm during normal usage.
Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing
so will void the warranty.

If you need to exchange the unit, please return it, in its original carton with a sales receipt
enclosed, to the store you purchased it. If you are returning the unit more than 30 days after the
date of purchase, please see the enclosed warranty.
