Installation
•
Unpack all parts and remove all protective material.
•
Connect the unit to any household mains socket after checking the mains voltage and after all other
connections have been made.
•
Do not cover any vents and make sure that there is a space of several centimeters around the unit for
ventilation.
Top cover assembly
•
Push the metal bracket to the rear.
•
Connect the metal bracket to the top cover
•
Connect the hinge of the top cover to the main unit
Connection
•
Connect the power cord o AC outlet and connect the speaker jack to the speaker terminal located on
the rear side of unit.
•
Turn the POWER ON/OFF button (19) clockwise until it clicks dinstinctly.
•
Switch the function selector (6) to TUNER. If the LCD display (2) lights up with blue backlight, the power
supply is normal and your system is ready.
Manual tuning
•
Turn the function selector (6) to TUNER and then select desire band (AM, FM or FM-stereo) with the-
BAND/FM-ST selector (10).
•
Tune to the desired station by turning the tuning knob (18).
•
Use the volume knob (19) to adjust the volume level.
FM & FM-stereo reception
•
Set the BAND/FM-ST selector (10) to FM. Programs are received in mono mode. In particular when
stereo signals are weak, it might be preferable to receive the program in mono.
•
Set the BAND/FM-ST selector (10) to FM-ST to receive stereo programs. The BAND/FM-ST LED will
light up to indicate FM stereo program is received.
Hints for best reception
AM : The receiver has a built-in AM bar antenna. If AM reception is weak, slight rotation or re-positioning of
the unit will usually improve the reception.
FM : The receiver has a build-in FM wire antenna hanging from the rear cabinet. This wire should be un-
raveled and extended completely for best reception.
