OPERATION
This device is specially designed for incubators. It allows to have a continuous reading of the
T° with an excellent degree of precision. (20x more precise on average than a thermometer
of current use).
It works exclusively on a range of T° included between 32°C and 42°C and will not display
the T° outside this range and risks being damaged by the T° higher than 42°C.
The probe is hermetically sealed and will not be damaged by cold water. However, it should
not be exposed to chemicals or solvents and should be cleaned with soapy water or alcohol.
The temperature can be read in °C or °F with the switch provided.
The battery life in continuous use can be up to 6 weeks (depending on its quality). A switch
ON/OFF switch allows to turn it on and off at will.
-
Ventilated incubators: In a ventilated incubator, this thermometer will give an accurate
reading regardless of the location of the probe because the air T° is uniform
throughout the incubator due to mixing. If the probe is inserted in a ventilation hole,
take care to use an air outlet and not an inlet (which would influence the reading with
fresh air)
-
Unventilated incubators: The variation of the T° between the top and the bottom of
the incubator being more important in a non ventilated incubator, it is important to
place the probe at the level of the top of the egg but not in contact with this one, and
sufficiently far from the edge of the incubator. The recommended temperature is 1.5
°C to 2 °C higher than in ventilated incubators.

CHANGING THE BATTERIES

Use a coin to open the compartment on the back of the thermometer.
Replace the old battery with a LR-44, S-76, A76, G13 or equivalent 1.5V button cell battery.
Avoid touching the surface of the battery as much as possible in order to avoid deposits
creating micro resistances. DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES
DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES AT A DESIGNATED COLLECTION POINT.
TREATMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AT THE END OF ITS LIFE
-
The appliance, its packaging and its accessories, after wear, must be sorted out and
deposited in the appropriate collection points
-
For the collection of obsolete electrical appliances, it is advisable to approach your town hall
which will inform you on the means of collection placed at your disposal.
-
The respect of these procedures favors the recycling of WEEE (waste from electrical and
electronic equipment) and thus the preservation of our environment, do not throw your used
electrical equipment in the garbage.
